What we use

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This website uses functional and security technologies. Our self-hosted Plausible and Umami analytics use no cookies or browser storage. We no longer use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or WPMU/Matomo visitor tracking.

Language preference

wp-wpml_current_language remembers your chosen website language for approximately one day.

Form security

hCaptcha protects the Dutch contact form and distinguishes ordinary use from bots. The service also processes technical information and interactions. When the security cookie __cf_bm is set, it generally expires after thirty minutes. Other security or accessibility preferences may have different durations; see hCaptcha’s information.

Administrator login and preferences

WordPress administrator cookies, including wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie and wp-settings-*, support secure administrator login and preferences. These do not all apply to ordinary visitors. Depending on the type, they last for the session, selected login period or approximately one year for preferences.

Cookieless statistics

Plausible and Umami run on our own Hetzner server in Germany. We currently compare both tools to improve the website. They use no tracking cookies, permanent browser IDs or profiles across websites. They do process visit information such as pages, referral sources, browser and device type and approximate location. IP address and browser information are temporarily used to count visits; raw IP addresses are not stored in the analytics databases. Umami respects Do Not Track and excludes query strings and URL fragments. Cookieless does not mean no data is processed. See our privacy policy.

External files, maps and CAPTCHA

Font Awesome supplies icons and OpenStreetMap supplies map tiles when a map loads. These providers receive technical connection information. hCaptcha protects the Dutch contact form and may use security cookies. See Font Awesome, OpenStreetMap and hCaptcha. Some services may process information outside the EEA, as explained in our privacy policy.

Consent and choices

Strictly necessary functional or security cookies do not require prior cookie consent. We do not request cookie consent for our limited cookieless statistics. Where personal data is processed, the legal bases and rights in our privacy policy still apply. This setup does not use advertising cookies.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser. This may affect language preferences, login or form security. If you cannot use a form, email or telephone us. Cookies from retired Google or Matomo tracking may remain from an earlier visit; known first-party cookies are cleared on a new visit. You can also clear website data for vuur-werk.nl yourself.
